I was never completely sold on this trendy drink – I ordered it a few times a year or so ago in various cafes, and I really wanted to love it, but it just didn’t set my world alight… It wasn’t that I didn’t like the taste, but for some reason I’d always end up preferring to order a flat white instead.
However, one of my clients recently mentioned making turmeric lattes at home, and I decided that I needed to give it another try, but instead of ordering them out – I’d make them myself this time...
The result is so much more delicious!!!
I’ve used a recipe from the Deliciously Ella app – but there are tons of variations out there that you can try. I quite like the idea of trying an iced one when the weather gets warmer too.
Give it a go:
- 250ml brown rice milk (oat milk works well too)
- ¼ tsp turmeric
- Sprinkle of vanilla powder
- Sprinkle of cinnamon
- Sprinkle of black perrper
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- Honey (to taste)
Heat all the ingredients (except the honey) in a pan over a medium heat until steaming. Pour into a mug and stir in some honey for extra sweetness.
